Used Massey Ferguson Tractors
A used tractor can be a smart purchase when it is inspected properly. Buyers should avoid judging by paint alone and focus on engine health, hydraulics, steering, clutch, tyres and documents.
Inspection checklist
- Cold start behavior and smoke condition.
- Hydraulic lift strength under load.
- Gear shifting, clutch feel and brake response.
- Tyre wear, rim condition and leaks.
- Chassis number, documents and ownership record.
Field test
A short drive is not enough. If possible, test the tractor with a relevant implement or load to understand power, noise and hydraulic performance.
When to choose new instead
If repair uncertainty, downtime risk or missing documents are high, a new tractor or cleaner used unit may be more sensible.
